INTRO

It’s nice to meet you

Hi! I’m Nellie. I am a mama, wife and founder of Baleen.

I built this company because I want to use circularity to help all of us change our relationship with stuff. For me, this means helping brands develop circular business models like resale and rental, that disconnect revenue generation from environmental degradation.

BALEEN is here to help brands to more with less by creating innovative ways to become stewards of the natural resources that they rely on to exist; and importantly, to use their powerful voices to influence human behavior and shape the way we treat our planet. I spent nearly a decade practicing this at Patagonia, where I built and managed the award-winning program, Worn Wear.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Systems from UC San Diego and a Master’s Degree in Biological Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. To learn more, check out my LinkedIn profile.
